Florence B. Weaver

     Florence B. Weaver, 89, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living.

     Born January 26, 1935 in Mill Hall, she was a daughter to the late Edward G. Bitner and the former Odessa Butler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence L. Weaver Sr. on July 30, 1974; two sisters, Jane (John) Harvey and Blanche (Edward) Yeater.

     Earlier in her life she worked at Clinton Paper Company and later retired from the Motter Agency.

     She is survived by a daughter, Mary A. (Gary) Hopple, of Jersey Shore; a son, Laurence L. (Colleen) Weaver Jr., of Jersey Shore; longtime companion, Bernard Swoyer; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Patrick, Cassandra, Courtney, and Jonathan; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward G. (Evelyn) Bitner Jr., of Lock Haven; and her sisters, Connie (Robert) Stevens, of Lock Haven and Donna (Bruce) Miller, of Beech Creek.

     A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Lock Haven.
