     Bernard D. Rell, 80, of Limestone Township, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019, at The Williamsport Home.
     Born Nov. 5, 1938, in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Elmer Rell and the former Isabel Eck. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Stephanie Lynne Rell; a sister, Phyllis (Frank) Nau; and a brother, George Rell.
     For many years, he was the former owner of the Breeze Inn. Later in his life he had Rell Real Estate, Auctioneering & Appraisal, but most recently Bernie and his wife owned and operated Best Self Storage in Williamsport and Lock Haven. He was also the proprietor of the Market Haus and Grove in Lock Haven.
     Bernie honorably served in the United States National Guard. He was a life member of the Jersey Shore Elks Lodge No. 1057 and was also a member of the Wheel Inn. He was also on the Corporate and Regional Boards for St. Bank of Avis, Northern Central, Keystone Financial, and M&T Regional Corporate Board.
     He is survived by his loving wife, the former Patricia A. Sember, they were united in marriage on Sept. 16, 1961, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Montoursville. Also surviving is a son, Chris Rell (Amy Bowers), of Nippenose Valley; two daughters, Valerie (William) Baier, of Nippenose Valley, and Renee (Arthur) Amelio, of Palmyra; six grandchildren, Olivia Amelio (Jesse Hartman), Kendel Baier, Mallorie Rell, Blaise Amelio, Emalie Rell and Cassidy Rell; a brother, Carlyle (Elizabeth) Rell, of Nippenose Valley; and a sister, Mary (Edward) Shuhler, of Montoursville.
     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Immaculate Conception Church, 5973 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport, PA 17702. A time of visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, April 8, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
     He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Immaculate Conception Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
