     Stephen W. Embick, 69, of Jersey Shore, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
     Born August 25, 1949 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Ralph Embick and the former Viola Bowmaster. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Josephine A. Stevenson on April 4, 2014; two brothers, Ralph and Chuck Embick; and a sister, Barbara Stevenson.
     Stephen was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Jersey Shore. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising game birds, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Earlier in his life he worked at Foamex then retired from Jim Walters Doors.
     Surviving are two sons, Raymond P. (Brenda) Clymer of McElhattan and Ralph R. Embick of Lock Haven; five daughters, Mary T. (Vance) Hensler of Linden, Paula R. (Dave) Fudge of Oval, Angela D. (Ken) Englert of Lock Haven, Stephanie A. (Adam) Scott of Oval and Jamie C. (Jim) Carson of Avis; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry (Sue) Embick of Lock Haven; and a sister, Peggy Baker of Lock Haven.
     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 118 Kendall Ave., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning until the time of Mass at church. Father Bert Kozen will officiate.
     He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
