Theodore L. Richardson, 97, passed away on Aug. 4, 2019, peaceably at home.

Ted was born on Nov. 26, 1921, in Glendale, Ohio, a son of Roland W. and Althea Ford Richardson.  Along with his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Pricilla Grandin Richardson, in 1990, and his three sisters, Fifi, Betsey, and Emily.

He received a bachelor's of science at Williams College and a master's in forestry from Yale School of Forestry. Ted was a kind, generous man who loved life, his family and the great outdoors. He was a veteran who served in the 10th Mountain Division and the 11th Airborne during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the National Ski Patrol and enjoyed skiing and tennis, was an avid paddler, forester, draftsman, carpenter, hunter, and the father of three children, Mike, of Williamsport, Andy (Janie), of Jersey Shore, and Polly Richardson Rentfro, of Roseville, Calif. In addition to his children, Ted enjoyed time with his six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Per Ted's wishes there will be no service and the immediate family will celebrate Ted's life at a future time.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made in Ted's name to a charity of your choice.

My thoughts are with you all as you say farewell to your Dad. He and Pris were close friends with my parents, Chug and Betty Flock. Whether they were in the Poconos for the weekend or at Dunwoody with all of their friends, they always had a great time. You are so lucky to have had him in your lives for so long. Cherish the memories.
