Bernard A. Swoyer

     Bernard A. Swoyer, 93, of Jersey Shore, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

     Born April 3, 1932 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Albert Swoyer and the former Edith Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nan Ranck.

     Bernard loved following Penn State Wrestling and Football, but his greatest love was spending time with his family.

     He is survived by his children, Scott Swoyer and Lori (Tim) Greenaway, both of Jersey Shore; grandchildren, Dan Greenaway, of Jersey Shore, Brad (Elizabeth) Greenaway, of Cogan Station, Katie Greenaway, of State College, and Kari (Greg) Morisette, of Reston, VA; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, Luke, and Anna.

     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bernie's name be made to an animal shelter of your choice.

    A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2025 in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com.
