Beth E. Moore

     Beth Ellen (Green) Moore passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 4, 2022.  

     Born August 14, 1940 in Washington, DC to Gordon Henry Green and Nina Beth (Huggans) Green.  She married Richard B Moore on May 27, 1967 who survives at home.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Cynthia Ellen Shuey on May 17, 2007.

     She leaves a sister Peggy Johnson (Albert C) of Purcellville, VA, a brother Gordon David Green (Glenda Brooke), two daughters, Deb Moore of Bellefonte, Tamra Rook (Robert) of Jersey Shore, and a son Richard D Moore of Woolrich; 10 grandchildren: Jeffry Shuey of Lebanon, Josh Shuey (Hanna) of Myerstown, Katy Beth Foreman (Jay) of Newmanstown, Zachary Shuey of Pine Grove, Jonathan Springman of Lock Haven, Nick Carpenter (Sassha) of Castanea, Russell Zerby (Mackenzie) of Jersey Shore, Alyssa Demetro of Woolrich, Lee Springman of Jersey Shore, Luke Springman of Jersey Shore, 11 great grandchildren,  several nieces,  nephews, and friends.

     Beth graduated from the Niles C. Kinnick High School, home of Yo-Hi Red Devils Yokosuka, Japan in 1958 and from Strayer Business College in Washington, DC and retired from Woolrich, Inc. on April 30, 2004.  
 

     She had a variety of interests and over the years was involved in any activities that her children were involved in.  She was one of the founding members of the Greater Washington, DC Cake Decorating Club.  A member of the Jersey Shore BPW for over 30 years, serving as the club President and Treasurer and District Director.  

     She was a member of Avis United Methodist Church.  With the Lord as her guide, Beth was devoted to her entire family and a true friend to everyone.  She showed witness of her love of God to others through her caring and thoughtful actions.

     A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., Avis. Following the service, there will be a time of food and fellowship at the church. Visiting time will be held from 3 p.m. Thursday until the time of service Thursday at the church. Pastor Brian Moyer will officiate. 

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Kathryn Candor Lundy Breast Health Center (Susquehanna Health Foundation), 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
