Betty Jane Mitcheltree

     Betty Jane Mitcheltree, 98, of Jersey Shore, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Edenbrook North, Williamsport.

     Born November 19, 1926 in Cogan Station, she was the daughter to the late Edgar Raymond Bower and the former Flossie Bell Loudenslager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Mitcheltree; and a son-in-law, Lynn Ulmer.

     Betty was a member of the Larryville United Methodist Church. She was an active gardener and enjoyed knitting.

     She is survived by two daughters, Susan Ulmer, of Jersey Shore and Bonnie Mitcheltree, of Carlisle, PA; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Ulmer and Melissa (Doug) Lundy; great-grandchildren, R. Nile (Courtney) Ulmer, Tyler Ulmer, and Colton Ulmer; and a brother, Paul E. Bower.

     A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Pastor Martin Parr will officiate.

     She will be laid to rest at a later date next to her husband in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
