Betty J. Ryan

     Betty J. Ryan, 98, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

     Born January 14, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Truman and Ellen (Ferree) Bartholomew.

     She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and they with her. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

     She was a lifelong member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She loved to read her bible and watch 3ABN.

     Surviving are a son, Jack Ryan; three grandchildren: Kelli (Dave) Paulhamus, Kris (Ron) Smeltzer, Jack (Terri) Ryan; five great grandchildren: David (Heather) Paulhamus, Ashley (Jacob) Messick, Kaitlyn, Leah & Luke Ryan; five great-great grandchildren: Cody & Garrett Paulhamus, Gavin Snook, Izzy & Miah Messick.

     In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Jack Ryan; a son, Wayne Ryan; daughters-in-law: Sherry (Brandt) Ryan & Sharon (DiStasi) Ryan; great grandson, Rodney “Reel” Merrifield; five siblings: Esther Ungard, Sally White, Delores Yohe, Harold & Flick Bartholomew.

     In keeping with her wishes there will be no services. The family will have a private gathering to share their precious memories of her.

     Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
