Beverly Ann Rhinehart, 90, passed away peacefully on Nov. 18, 2025, at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg, Pa.
Beverly was born on Sept. 18, 1935, the daughter of the late William and Vera (Bailey) Welshans. Beverly was the loving wife of Russell Harold Rhinehart, who passed away on June 15, 2024. They were married on Dec. 30, 1954, and shared 69 wonderful years together. Their deep love and constant companionship were clear to everyone who knew them.
She graduated from Jersey Shore High School, and shortly after, she and Russell married and moved to Fort Gordon, Ga., while he served in the U.S. Army. When his service ended, they returned to Avis, Pa., where they built their life and started their family. Beverly worked for many years at the Woolrich Woolen Mill plant in Avis. Beverly’s faith was a central part of her life. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Avis and lovingly played the organ there for many years. Later in life, she continued playing at home and spent many happy hours with her husband watching and listening to faith-based programs. Their shared faith brought them comfort and joy. Family meant everything to Beverly.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took great pride in caring for those she loved. For years she prepared heartfelt Thanksgiving meals and hosted many family gatherings, always welcoming everyone with a warm smile and sending them home well-fed. Her gentle spirit, kindness and loving heart touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Gordon Rhinehart (Jane); her daughters, Julie Heckman and Denise Peddigree (Jim); six grandchildren, Beth Wrench (Barry), Lisa Fisher (Matt), Brian Heckman (Emily), Vanessa Workoff (Michael), Erin Peddigree (Russ) and Eric Peddigree (Hilary); and ten great-grandchildren, Makayla, Landon, Logan, Tyson, Macy, Alaina, Caleb, Liam, Evie and Abigail.
A private graveside service will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com
