Billie Jo Wiengsima, 50, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Geisinger in Danville, with her husband, mother, and sister by her side. Her many caregivers there were compassionate and kind and provided her love and dignity. Special appreciation and gratitude to Lena, you made our very difficult journey easier to bear, thank you.
Born Jan. 29, 1972 in Corning, N.Y., she was the daughter to William "Bill" Wilson and Linda I. (Brown) Overdorf. She married Jirasak Wiengsima on July 9, 2006. They would have celebrated 16 years of marriage in July.
Billie was a soft spoken, kind and generous person with a gentle spirit who always worried about everyone but herself. Those who were fortunate enough to know her were gifted with a true and lasting friendship, as she would always be there for you if you needed her. She endured so much, more than one person should bear, but you would never know it to look at or talk to. She was a brave soul who believed in quality verse quantity, and trusted and loved her Heavenly Father. She leaves behind a family with broken hearts, who loved her dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Jirasak Wiengsima; mother, Linda (Chet) Overdorf; sisters, Michele Hively (Buck), and Brandina, Melinda, and Tiffany Wilson; brother, David (Jennifer) Wilson; aunts, Cindy (Mike) Reilly, Linda Wilson, and Melissa Wilson; uncle, Gary (Linda) Brown; nieces, Laurel, Abi, Alex, Justine, Penny and Heather; nephews, Steven, Austin, Gaige, Zac and Edward "Bub"; great nieces, Maddison, Briar, Aerianna, Gavin, Alivia, Kaila and Lorelei; great nephews, Hayden, Caleb, Tano, Jamie, and Theodore; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Maree Kirkpatrick; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Nicole Kirkpatrick, and their children, Julian and Shannon; and lots of cousins.
Billie Jo was preceded by her father, William "Bill" Wilson; grandparents, Lawrence and Grace Brown, and William Sr. and Lena Wilson; uncle, Larry Wilson; nieces, Lindsie Stover and Jamie Jackson; and her great nephew, Anson Stover.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, until the time of service, Saturday, at Welker Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Pennycoff will officiate.
