Cecil “Fuz” Duane Rummings

     Fuz (Cecil Duane) Rummings passed away at his home in Naples, Fla. on Dec 31, 2022.
     He was born on Feb. 18, 1942, to the late Louise and Cecil Rummings.
     He was also preceded in death by his brother Norm and is survived by sisters Ann Bliler, Karen Wagner, and Linda McPherson . 
     Fuz has a very loving family that will miss him dearly including six daughters, Jayne, Tina, Tammy, Lisa, Ami and Dian, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. 
     Fuz worked hard most of his life in the stone quarry. He was proud that his stone was used in many well-known places, such as Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh and the United Nations Building in New York City. Later in life, he helped others by driving the STEP van and volunteering at the Little League World Series. 
     Fuz was well known for two things, his bucket hat (that he never took off) and his deep blue eyes! "Pap with the hat" loved to share stories with his family, especially his grandkids.
     He started most days at the coffee shop and if you were lucky enough to wait on him, he was sure to make you smile!   He loved to eat his fair share (and then some) of junk food including homemade fudge, apple dumplings, and Tasty cakes. He also enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, and of course cheering on the Jersey Shore Bulldogs football team.
     If you feel sad while reading this, keep in mind that he had a great life and lived it to the fullest. He would want to be remembered for his funny jokes and goofy personality. To celebrate his life, think of a funny memory of him while having a tasty cake and milk for dinner! 
     A memorial gathering luncheon honoring the life of Fuz will be held from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Gamble Farm Inn, 311 N. Main St, Jersey Shore.
