Charles Bowers Obituary

     Charles E. Bowers, 91, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Manor Care Health Services, Jersey Shore.
     Born Oct. 20, 1927, in Avis, he was the son to the late Harry and Esther Bowers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene B. Bowers on Nov. 8, 2015.
     Charles honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from Jersey Shore Steel after many years of service.
     He is survived by a daughter, Renee D. (David) Hager, of Waterville; and two sons, Stephen C. Bowers, of Franklin, Indiana, and Randy C. (Christine) Bowers, of Old Forge; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jane (Torrence) Miller, of Jersey Shore.
     He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
