Charles R. Carr

     In honor of this loved one, we say goodbye knowing he will always be in our hearts. He is graciously with his Savior now in Heaven.

     Charles Ray Carr, 82, born March 15, 1943, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at the Gatehouse, after a time of illness in the Rose View Nursing Home.

     His respectful military service in the U.S. Navy aboard the LPH 10 USS Tripoli was a highlight of his accomplishments. Some important things Chuck enjoyed was his love for HIS church family. Another delight was hunting and fishing with all the good stories that followed the good times.

     He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Carr; two sons, Raymond (Terri) and Brian Carr; daughter, Casey Garcia; stepdaughter, Kelly (Anthony) Strait Smith; many grandchildren; and two sisters, Carlon (John) Hollis and Connie (Ron) Carbanaro.

     A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St.. Jersey Shore, followed by full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Jersey Shore Honor Guard, 125 N Main St, Jersey Shore, PA 17740
