Charles E. Collins Sr.

      Charles E. Collins Sr., 75, of Jersey Shore, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital.

      Born September 25, 1947 in Philadelphia, he was a son to the late George Collins and the former Marie Kebodeaux.

      Charles honorably served his country in the United States Army. For many years he worked in the sanitation department in Lock Haven, and he enjoyed fishing.

      He is survived by his wife, for former R. Diane Haas, they were united in marriage on May 23, 1969; two sons, George E. (Mari Beth) Collins of Jersey Shore and Charles E. Collins Jr. of New York; a daughter, Charlene (Jeff) Herb of Shamokin; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

       In keeping with his wishes there will be no services.

      Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
