Charles E. "Chase" Miller, 89, a resident of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Dec. 8, 1929, in Mill Hall, the son of the late Franklin T. Miller and the former Annie Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ranse Miller. He was one of 12 siblings.
Chase worked at the Pennsylvania Railroad for over 10 years, Piper Aircraft Corporation for 28 years, the Jersey Shore Steel Mill and then Richelle's Furniture Company until retirement. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Jersey Shore.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Jean L. Kennedy, of Jersey Shore, they were united in marriage on May 6, 1950, in Lock Haven; daughters, Debra E. (Robert) Crisinger, of Mill Hall, and Jeryljean "Jerri" (Tony) Keeler, of Jersey Shore; daughter-in-law, Katie Miller; five grandchildren, Monica L. (Mark) Long, of Mill Hall, Shawna R. (Keith) Heckman, of Nescopeck, Brandon (Jolene) Keeler, of Greensburg, Kurtis Keeler (Matthew Wachter), of South Williamsport, and Jeanna T. (Joe) Ananea, of Lock Haven; nine great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Evan, Trevor, Chase, Pierce, Luke, Marley, Ayla and Caleb; and three stepgrandchildren, Tommy Molnar, of New Jersey, Karay Molnar, of Enola, and Susan Griffin, of Alaska.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the church. The Rev. Brian Moyer will officiate.
He will be laid to rest in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
