Charles L. "Roy" Fluck, 91, of Avis, went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Monday, February 16, after a brief illness.
Born October 10, 1934 in Lansdale, PA, he was the son of Abram and Pearl Fluck. He married the former Phyllis Boatman on June 11, 1955, and they shared 52 years of marriage before she passed away in 2007.
Roy is survived by a sister, Ruth Dudgeon, of Washington D.C.; two sons, David L. (Cheri) Fluck, of Jersey Shore and Dennis J. Fluck, of Avis; two daughters, Sherry M. (Bill) Schaefer, of Jersey Shore and Shelly K. (Steve) Bechdel, of Beech Creek; daughter-in-law, Kris Fluck, of Utah; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Grace; brothers, Stanley, Harold, and Ray; a son, Mike; grandson, David; and a great-grandson, Rory. Roy loved God and loved people, especially his family. His greatest desire was to live a life that pointed people to Jesus. He will be missed by so many.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 11 a.m. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Mountain View Alliance, 1515 Cemetery St, Jersey Shore. Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com.
