Christopher Daniel Embick

     Christopher Daniel Embick, 49, of Evanston, Ill., formerly of Jersey Shore, died suddenly on Monday Nov. 28, 2022 at Northshore Hospital in Skokie, Ill.
     Christopher was born Aug. 13, 1973 to the late Daniel Lee Embick, and Sandra Kaye Erb in Williamsport.
     Chris was a 1991 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. He attended and graduated from Pennsylvania State University in Jan. 1996, with a degree in marketing and international business. During his junior year in college, he studied at the University of Manchester in England.
     Throughout Chris’ career, he was able to apply his education, working in Marketing Research and Strategic Consulting, most recently as Vice President at Insights by Kantar, a data insights and consulting company.
     One of Chris’ many joys in life was traveling. He made his first trip to Europe during high school with his French class, then was able to travel to Europe several times throughout his life. Chris also enjoyed any chance he had to visit and catch up with family and friends. Other joys in life include cooking, gardening, hiking, arts, and opera.
     Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Mildred Embick, W. Kenneth and Margaret Erb Shaffer, Gene Shaffer, and Clinton and Helen Schrack. In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Embick.
     Chris is survived by his partner of 25 years, Michael Reuscher, of Evanston, Ill.; his mother, Sandra and step-father, David Schrack, of Lock Haven; brother, Jason (Erin) Embick, of Jersey Shore; and several nieces.
     Time of visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, PA.
