David Sick Obituary


     David L. Sick, 65, of Linden, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
     Born Dec. 18, 1955 in Elmira, N.Y., he was a son to Ronald Sick and the former Marianne Davis. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Sherry Rhoads.
     After graduation from Williamsport Area Community College (WACC), he began his career at Fed Ex. Dave retired from FedEx after 20 years of service. He then was a stay at home parent with his girls.
In addition to his mother of Wellsboro, he is survived by his loving wife, the former Charisse R. Ford, they were united in marriage on April 4, 2003; three daughters, Erin L. Sick of Orlando, Fla., Mable L. Sick of Linden and Anna B. Sick of Linden; a son, Brent M. Sick of Burbank, Calif. and a brother, Timothy (Karen) Sick of Wellsboro. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews.
     Dave was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed being on Pine Creek kayaking and fishing with family. He loved listening to bluegrass and going to music festivals with family and friends. He was also a gifted musician. Some of his instruments included the banjo, guitar, mandolin and stand up bass.
     A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St, Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home.
