Deborah J. Cooney

     Deborah J. Cooney, 67, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital.
     Born May 25, 1955, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter to the late Donald Brandt and the former Zora Schlegel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Ryan; a brother-in-law, Anthony Cooney; and her mother-in-law, Doris Buehl.
     Deb loved her black lab, Boss, the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, and enjoyed hunting. She worked at Penn College for the Environmental Services Department.
     Surviving is her loving husband of 52 years, Thomas Michael Cooney; two daughters, Kristy L. (Mark) Willits, of Jersey Shore, and Shannon E. (Chuck) Vogt, of Jersey Shore; two grandchildren, Michael (Tasha) Hill and Kassy (Hunter) Barnes; six great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Butch) Brandt, of Jersey Shore; sister, Linda "Dusty"  (Lyle) Yandell, of Jersey Shore; sister-in-law, Mary Cooney (Gary) Harpel; and a son-in-law, Ronald J. Hill.
     In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
