Diane L. Johnson, 51, of Jersey Shore, returned to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1971 in Williamsport, Pa. Diane was a 1989 graduate of Jersey Shore Area Senior High School, she continued her education later in life at Lock Haven University receiving a certification becoming a clinical medical assistant. Diane was a medical assistant at the Veterans Affairs Clinic in Williamsport, Pa. It was, however known, that her heart was with working as a clinical medical assistant at the UPMC Susquehanna Urology office.
Diane spent many years being a lector and a CCD teacher at Saint Luke's, Catholic church in Jersey Shore. Diane was a devoted member of the Jersey Shore Lioness club, she had a passion for serving her community in any way she could. If her children were involved in an activity or sport so was Diane, she was a classroom mom, part of the PTO and ran the concession stand during summer swim team season.
Diane loved cooking, decorating cakes, crafting, being with her family and making every occasion a special celebration. Diane had an infectious smile and laugh with the kindest heart and most helping hand. Her family was the light of her life.
Diane was predeceased by her mother, Kay E. Miller, mother in law, Joann Johnson, and father in law, Gary L. Johnson SR.
Diane is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gary L. Johnson Jr.; father, Joseph G. Miller; A daughter, Olivia M. Johnson; A son, Ethan F.J. Johnson; A sister; Deborah Frazier; Brothers; Christopher Moser and Steven Sofopoulos. Diane is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Frederick B.Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Street, Jersey Shore, PA 17740. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Diane on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 11 AM, at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 118 Kendall Ave, Jersey Shore, PA 17740, with Fr. Bert Kozen presiding.
