Donald R. Miller, 91, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025 at his home.
Born March 19, 1934 in Lock Haven, he was a son to the late Norman Miller and the former Verna Spotts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, the former Marilyn J. Richey, and a sister, Barbara J. Kauffman.
Donald was a 1953 graduate of Lock Haven High School, attended Williamsport Area Community College and continued on to honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Phelps Chapel Church and the Labelle Vallee Lodge No 232. He worked as a Design Engineer for Sweitzer Aircraft for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Elissa G. (Earl) Dullen, of Jersey Shore and Amber C. (Pat) Altiero, of Altoona; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Hill (Liz), Nicole Wyandt (Jamal Walker), Lisa Preitz (Curtis), Andrew Collins (Tracey), and Kelly Alvarez (Arturo); 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Norma Long, of Lock Haven and Judy (Reg) Kuntz, of Pleasant Gap.
A visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St, Jersey Shore. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Rest Haven Memorial Park. Keith Bowers will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
