Donald L. Steppe

     Donald L. Steppe, 76, of Bastress Township, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.
     Born May 6, 1946 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late John Steppe and the former Emma Saar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Steppe, and his sisters, Lena Woodring, Mary Paulus and Theresa Steele.
     Donald was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School. He worked at Keystone Friction Hinge in Williamsport.
     He is survived by a daughter, Denise M. (Tom) Steppe, of Linden; god-daughter, Heather L. (Todd) Grove, of Jersey Shore; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2023 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6001 Jacks Hollow Rd., Williamsport, PA 17702. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
