Douglas B. Lundy, Sr., 78, of Pine Creek Township, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Dec. 28, 1943 in Blossburg, he was the son to Robert Lundy and Dorotha Cleardon.
Douglas honorably served his country in the United States Army.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, American Legion, and the Elks Lodge, all in Jersey Shore.
He was a graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Williamsport Area Community College. He worked for Verizon for 36 years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, the former Cheryl A. Andrus. They were united in marriage on July 17, 1965. Also surviving are two sons, Douglas B. (Melissa) Lundy, Jr., of Jersey Shore, and Gary L. (Bridgitte) Lundy, of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Karen A. (Barry) Tempesco, of Montoursville; a sister, Lillian (Dave) Yerger, of Ponca City, Okla.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Jersey Shore Elks Lodge, 203 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, with full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
