E.J. “Buzz” Nilsson

     E.J. "Buzz" Nilsson, 81, of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at his home.

     Born June 15, 1942 in Coraopolis, he was the son to the late Algott Nilsson and the former Caroline Shipp.

     For many years, Buzz worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. Buzz enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest love was spending time at his hunting camp with his sons.

     He is survived by his loving wife, the former Judy E. Corl, they were united in marriage on June 20, 1964; two sons, Eric J. (Jennifer) Nilsson of Mill Hall and Bryan K. (Angela) Nilsson of Everell; and five grandchildren.

     Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 1, at the Walnut Street Baptist Church, 201 W. Highland St., Avis, followed by a Funeral Service at 7 p.m. He will be laid to rest Saturday in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. The Rev. George Grossman will officiate.
