Elizabeth R. "Betty" Rell

     Elizabeth R. "Betty" Rell, 88, of Nippenose Valley, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport.

     Born June 29, 1935 in Williamsport, she was a daughter to the late John Keller and the former Elizabeth King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Keller; and her sisters, Jean Haefner, Ann Haefner, Mary Eck, and Doris Kielwein.

     For many years, Betty worked at Sylvania and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

     She is survived by her loving husband, Carlyle J. Rell, they were united in marriage on November 3, 1962; twin children, Carlyle J. (Becky) Rell of Jersey Shore and Carlene J. (Richard) Bower of Williamsport; a sister, Lois Kalis of Cornwall, PA; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Keller of Williamsport; six grandchildren, Carlyle Rell Jr., Colton Rell, Jackie (Arthur) Bartley, Jessica (Scott) Gross, Benjamin (Shalissa) Bower, and Megan (Matt) Patterson; and 6 great-grandchildren.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6001 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport, PA 17702. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening, April 8, at Frederick B.Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. She will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Father Bert Kozen will officiate.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rauchtown-Nippenose Valley Lions Club, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
