Ellen I. Shannon

      Ellen I. Shannon, 98, of Cogan House, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Highland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Laporte.
      Born May 21, 1924 in Williamsport, she was the daughter to the late Harry Etinger and the former Mary Jane Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Shannon on Aug. 17, 2019. They were united in marriage on Aug. 1, 1946.
      She and her husband were the owners of Shannon Lumber Company.
      She is survived by a daughter, Paula J. June of Brookside; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
      She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the White Church Cemetery at a later date.
