Esther M. Hamberger

     Esther M. Hamberger, 84, of Lock Haven, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Gatehouse in Williamsport.

     Born November 29, 1939 in Spruce Creek, PA, she was a daughter to the late George E. Glass and the former Mary Grace Lindsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Hamberger; and her siblings, George E. Glass Jr. and U. Grant Glass, Lucinda Mae Smith and Charlotte V. Getgen.

     Esther enjoyed reading, puzzles, dancing and loved her cats. She graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School in 1959.

     She is survived by her children, Tina (Ken) Schenck, Tammy Gallagher, Shelly (Chuck) Bloom and Russell (Kim) Smith; 9 grandchildren, Chris Young, Amber Tressler, Ry Gallagher, Tess Gallagher, Nathan Bloom, Shauna Lyons, Taylor Keller, Charly Bloom and Carter Smith; and 11 great-grandchildren.

     A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at Welker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com
