Eugene C. Cillo

Eugene C. Cillo, 86, of Jersey Shore, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.

Born November 25, 1937 in Williamsport, he was a son to the late Gino J. Cillo and the former Carmela Mignano. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Jameson; a son, Gino Cillo; and a brother, Carmine Cillo.

Eugene was a 1955 graduate of Williamsport High School and continued on to honorably serve his country in the United States Navy. Over the years, he was very active in fraternal organizations. He retired in 1995 from the US Postal Service in Williamsport as superintendent of maintenance.

He is survived by his loving wife, the former Eva Jean Burgess, they were in united in marriage in 1973; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Swartz (Derek), Brandon Jameson (Krista) and Cameron Lehman; 2 great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Chatham Jameson; a sister, Carol Ruoff; 2 nieces, Denise Hoffman and Joann Slattery; and a nephew, James Slattery.

Family will provide flowers and kindly request memorial contributions be made to the Jersey Shore Public Library, 110 Oliver St., Jersey Shore, Pa 17740.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2024 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E Walnut St., Lock Haven, Pa.  He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery at a later date with full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
