Eva M. Gardner, 85, of Cogan House, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna.
Born Feb. 3, 1937 in Estella, Pa., she was the daughter to the late George Stackhouse and the former Lavonia Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Gardner Sr.; a son, Donald L. Gardner Jr.; and a brother, Charles Stackhouse.
She retired from Woolrich and had also worked at Weldons. Eva enjoyed going to yard sales, gardening, sewing quilts, but her greatest love and joy of her life was her family.
She is survived by a son, David L. Gardner of Williamsport; four daughters, Deboraha D. (Edward) Gregory of Trout Run, Susan M. (David) Solomon of Montgomery, Laurie J. Gardner of Blossburg and Tammie K. (John) Jamison of Horseheads, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Elwood (Louise) Stackhouse of Benton, Pa., Ronald Stackhouse of Liberty, and Robert (Perdetia) Stackhouse of Liberty; and a sister, Donna (Kenneth) Blair of Trout Run.
A funeral service will be held on 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Green Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Bud Yoder will officiate.
