Fredrick R. Vonada, 78, of Loganton, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at his home.
Born November 11, 1941 in Lock Haven, he was a son to the late Roy Albert Vonada and the former Hilda Elizabeth Overdorf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Miriam H. (Bilby) Vonada.
Fred retired from PennDOT after many years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by three sons, Terry Lee Vonada of Loganton, Kent (Faye) Vonada, of Loganton and David R. Vonada, of Lock Haven; 4 grandkids, David Allen (Chasity Price) Vonada, of Monroe, N.C., Jessica Dawn Vonada, of Loganton, Justin Philip Vonada, of Ohio and Aubrey Nicole Vonada; several great grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert James (Bonnie) Vonada of Beech Creek and Richard Franklin (Dorothy) Vonada of Loganton.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Greenburr Trinity United Methodist Church, 356 Campground Road, Loganton, PA 17747. A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at church. The family requests that the dress attire be causal and comfortable because that's how he would have wanted it.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife at a later date in the Greenburr Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
