Gerald D. "Piney" Fleisher

      Gerald D. "Piney" Fleisher, 96, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.

      Born November 21, 1928 in Jersey Shore, he was the son to the late Frederick E. Fleisher and the former Rose May Walizer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Phyllis Corryne Grenninger on March 2, 2017. They were united in marriage on July 31, 1948. Also preceding him in death are sisters, June M. Gardner, Winifred Barner, Vida B. Whipple, and Vivian V. Feerrar; and brothers, Frederick E. Fleisher Jr. "Bud" and James Robert Fleisher "Bob."

      Piney was a 1947 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. He was employed by JC Penny's in Jersey Shore and Sears Roebuck Co. in Williamsport, retiring in 1996. He is survived by his sisters, Mary L. Pepperman, Betty F. Brown, both of Jersey Shore, and Dolores (Dolly) Derr, of Elizabethtown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Nippenose Valley Village and Masonic Village for their exceptional care and love shown to Piney.

      Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
