Glenda L. McGinness

     Glenda L. McGinness, 81, of Avis, passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital.
     Born January 31, 1940, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter to the late Glenn Miller and the former Lucille Hager.
     Glenda retired from GTE Sylvania after many years of service. She was a former owner with her husband of the Wool Shed where they made sheepskin products. She enjoyed knitting many items including sweaters and blankets.
     She is survived by her husband, Richard G. McGinness; three children, Dennis (Melissa) McGinness of Indian Beach, Fla., Kimberly Nichols of Mill Hall and Kelly Alexander of South Williamsport; six grandchildren, Heather, Brock, Kelly Jo, Austin, Gabriel and Samuel; 4 great-grandchildren, Shephard, Sophie, McKinley and Oliver; and a brother, Frank Miller, of Jersey Shore.
      A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home.
     She will be laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery.
