Gordon F. Casbeer

     Gordon F. Casbeer, 92, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022 at ProMedica Nursing Center in Jersey Shore.
     Born June 14, 1929 in Conrad, Pa., he was a son to the late Ward Casbeer and the former Lena Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8 siblings.
     Gordon honorably served  his country in the United States Army.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and restoring old cars.
     He is survived by his loving wife, the former Peggy Freberg; children, Cindy Bertoli of Carlisle, Pa., David (Sherry) Casbeer of Linden and Lori (William) DiMattia of Renovo; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Earle; and a brother, Robert Casbeer.
     A funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Visitation time will be held at 3 p.m. Friday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at a later date in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
