Guy Joseph "Skip" Liguori

     Guy Joseph Liguori Jr. "Skip", 84, of Williamsport, passed away on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving loving at the Gatehouse.
     Born in Barton, N.Y. on Feb. 23, 1938, he was the son to the late Guy and Helen (English) Liguori.
     Guy was a 1956 graduate of Jersey Shore High School, where he was on the wrestling team and continued on to serve in the United States Air Force. He worked with specialized electronics for GE, Litton, and retired from Osram-Sylvania in 2004 as a quality control inspector. He was a long-time member of the St. Paul Calvary United Methodist Church in Williamsport, where he served as former President of the Williamsport Area United Methodist Men, certified lay speaker, communion steward, Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, and countless committees where God called him to be. Guy loved the Lord. He enjoyed playing the organ and was self-taught.
     He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 61 years, the former Carole Anderson; brother, William Liguori, of Bath, N.Y.; children, David Liguori, of Williamsport and Karin (Dr. Robert) Chianelli, of Williamsport; grandchildren, Jordan Ritter, of Tampa, Fla., Bo Ritter, of Harrisburg and Jillian (Tanner) LeBlanc, of Montgomery; his great-grandchildren namesakes, Owen Guy Ritter, of Tampa, Fla. and Rhett Joseph LeBlanc, of Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews. He loved his entire family with all of his heart.
     A funeral service honoring Guy's life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2022 at St. Paul Calvary United Methodist Church, 1427 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. A luncheon will follow the graveside service. He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard. Pastor Ann Runnels will officiate. There will be no public visitation.
     A sincere heartfelt thank you to ALL of the Gatehouse (Hospice) employees including everyone from the social worker, cleaning crew, volunteers, chaplains, Dr. Nesbitt, Barbara, Emily, and the entire nursing team. You are truly angels. Each of you brought comfort and peace to Guy during his final days and we will never forget what you did for him.
