Harry M. Cummings Sr., 93, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his home.
Born October 1, 1931 in Lock Haven, he was a son to the late William Cummings and the former Anna Mincer.
Harry honorably served his country in the United States Army and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star during the Korean War. He retired from PennDot as a Foreman after many years of service and was a member of the Labelle Valle Lodge 232 F&AM in Jersey Shore.
He is survived by his wife, the former Janet L. Dale, they were united in marriage on September 26, 1952; three sons, Harry M. Cummings Jr., Steven W. (Terri) Cummings and Terry L. (Denise) Cummings, all of Jersey Shore; two daughters, Beverly Kay (Guy) Confair, of Williamsport and Debra A. (Kevin) Gray, of Wilmington, NC; a sister, Teressa Stukel, of Lock Haven; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 31, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A visitation will be held at 12 noon until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com
