Heather Mae Aikey, 35, of Jersey Shore, passed unexpectedly on Jan. 8, 2021. She was born and raised in the Jersey Shore area.
She enjoyed cosmetology, studying paralegal services, spending time with family, and above all others, her son. She was spunky, intelligent, and free-spirited. She was a light in the dark, with the biggest heart and kindest soul. She would shower loved ones with her generosity and would always give you the shirt off her back. She had the most beautiful and infectious smile. She was always trying to spread love, joy, and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harry James of Jersey Shore, father, John Aikey Sr. of Jersey Shore, and her brother, John Aikey Jr. Jersey Shore.
Survivors include her son, Jayden Aikey of Mill Hall, grandmother, Lavon James (Aikey) of Jersey Shore, mother, Deborah Aikey (Myers) of Lock Haven, brother, Christopher Saiers of Clarksville, Ind., sister, Jamie Rager (Saiers) of Turbotville, uncle, Scott James of Avis, and several nieces and nephews including Kyle Saiers, Lanessa Rager, Alexis Aikey, Ethan Saiers, Logan Rager, Ashlynn Saiers, and Jade Rager.
Also to be mentioned is Heather’s extended family from Pennsylvania, William (Tal) Reese of Mill Hall, and from Florida, significant other, Robert Kirk (deceased), and his mother, Sheila Allen.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. For the safety of everyone, please adhere to social distancing guidelines.
