Hershel E. Milton, 88, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at Geisinger, Jersey Shore.
Born October 11, 1937 in Port Matilda, he was a son to the late Scott R. Milton and the former Ruth V. Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Aiden, Robert and Elmer Milton, Eleanor Moffitt, Cindy Miller and Julia Milton.
Hershel honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Moose, American Legion, and the Eagles. He played on a Quoits Team at the Eagles and played Pool in various leagues. Earlier in his life, he worked at Capital Homes and retired as a medical courier at Jersey Shore Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, the former Naomi A. Purvis, they were united in marriage on July 14, 2001; children, Wanda E. Haines, of Jersey Shore, Wilbert H. Kaseman (Clara), of Florida, Dawn A. Wolford, of Jersey Shore, Geraldine M. Robinson, of Williamsport, Leroy E. Kaseman (Lena), of Sunbury, Janet K. Rogers (Thomas), of Howard, and Ronald N. Wool (Annie), of Texas; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews; 6 great-nieces and nephews; 9 great-great-nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Buck and Carla Winters.
He gave his heart, love and wisdom to his family. He has left a very strong legacy of loved ones who will make this world a better place for having him in their lives.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
