Obituary
Howard G. Rice, 52, of Northumberland, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023 at UPMC Muncy.
Born Feb. 20, 1971 in Jersey Shore, he was the son to Dennis H. Rice and the former Sandra R. Holliday.
Howard was a 1989 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and attended the Pennsylvania State University. Earlier in his life, Howard owned and operated Susquehanna Asphalt Maintenance and also worked as a Sales Manager for Carpet Factory Outlet. From 1999-2021, he was the manager of Picture Rocks Hardware.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra, of Muncy; his wife, the former Jennifer L. Moltz, they were united in marriage on November 5, 2022; and two sisters, Holly D. (James) Lovell, of Lebanon, IL and Laurie D. (Randy) Wells, of Salona.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening, February 27, 2023 at Welker Funeral Home. The Rev. John Shaffer will officiate.
