Irene Confair

     Irene Confair, 97, of Jersey Shore was welcomed home by Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Valley View Nursing Home.

     Born Oct. 24, 1924 at Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Rose (Caris) Rauch.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband of 36 years, Newton Rieck, and 3 brothers, Frank, Dale and Carl Rauch and her twin sister, Arlene.  Also preceding her in death, her second husband of 13 years, Raymond Confair, son-in-law, Robert Weisdack and great-great-granddaughter, Charlotte Powell .

     She lived a long, wonderful life, full of fun and love and laughter.  Now she’s with her Savior in Heaven, singing with the angels forever and ever, and we’ll meet up with her there someday.  It is a nice idea to think she is there waiting for us, preparing a great big Sunday dinner for the whole family. Nothing made her happier than being with family.

     Irene will be deeply missed by her family, Carolyn Weisdack, Jefferson Ohio, Marion (Walter) Nyman, Williamsport Pa., Judy Dickson, Sunbury Pa., and David (Linda) Rieck, Jersey Shore Pa., 9 grandchildren, 28 greatgrandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy Neese, Mill Hall, Pa. a brother, Donald (Esther) Rauch, Salona Pa., and sister-in-law, Isabelle Rauch, Jersey Shore Pa.  Also surviving are stepchildren Marilyn (Terry) Garner and Ronald (Carolyn) Confair, Jersey Shore, Donna (Lee) Henderson, Lynnwood Wash. and Jolene (Mickel) Amend, Marysville Wash.

     Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Lynn officiating at the Frederick B Welker Funeral Home, 125 N Main Street, Jersey Shore. She will be laid to rest in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
