Jack E. Brown Sr.

     Jack E. Brown Sr., 77, of Avis, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his home.

     Born December 23, 1947 in Jersey Shore, he was the son to the late Edward J. Brown and the former Ellen Shoop.

     Jack was a member of the Avis United Methodist Church and the Avis Volunteer Fire Company. He worked as a Paramedic for 13 years and formerly served as the EMS Director. He retired from West Company after many years of service.

     He is survived by his wife, the former Christine Mayes, they were united in marriage on July 31, 1965; a son, Jack E. Brown Jr., of Avis; daughter, Martha K. Brown, of Avis; two sisters, Kay (Everett) Brown, of Jersey Shore and Doreen (Barry) Welshans, of Jersey Shore; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

     Services will be held at a later date.

     Memorial contributions in Jacks name may be made to the Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., Avis, PA 17721 or the Avis Volunteer Fire Company, 1 E. Central Ave., Avis, PA 17721.
