Jack W. Eck

     Jack W. Eck, 65, of Jersey Shore, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his home.

     Born April 9, 1959, in Philipsburg, he was the son to Thomas A. Eck and the former Janet L.Chapman.

     For many years, Jack worked as a truck driver and continued to run dump trucks following his retirement last year. He always liked to keep himself busy with various side jobs like operating heavy equipment, concrete jobs, and small engine and lawn mower repairs. He was known as a jack of all trades.

     In addition to his mother, Janet, living in Troy, he is survived by three sons, Joshua (Andrea) Eck of Warrenton, VA, Justin P. Eck of Liberty, and Alex A. Eck of Williamsport; two daughters, Erin N. Eck (Chris Winchester) of Jersey Shore and Amber L. Canavan of Jersey Shore; ten grandchildren; sisters, Audrey L. Aldarado of Jersey Shore, Linda L. (Scott) Welshans of Montgomery, Ellen Y. (Tim) Wagner of Waverly, N.Y., and Laura J. (David) Perry of Troy; a brother, Stephan A. (Joan) Eck of Jersey Shore; and his dog and best friend, Tucker, who he loved so much.

     A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Salladasburg Cemetery.
