James Watson "JayBird" MacPherson, 69, of Loyalsock, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Gatehouse with his loving wife by his side.
Born March 17, 1955 in Boothwyn, PA, he was a son to the late William MacPherson and the former Jean Ward.
For many years, Jay worked at the CCA Warehouse and then moved to Florida and worked at Publix. He was a guitarist and blues singer. In high school he played in the Boogie Hollin Band, and in Florida he played guitar and sang in the Beech Street Blues Band, where his heart had stayed.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Mary L. Mahosky; a son, Keith Edwards; daughter, Kelly (Charles) Brooks; grandchildren, Erin (Casey) Badulak and Christopher Brooks; great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Evelyn Badulak; brother, William (Michelle) MacPherson; and his sisters, Cheryl (Raymond) Ervin, Della (Wes) McCracken, and Sharon (Ron) Fisher.
There will be no services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
