Jane E. Hart

      Jane E. Hart, 81, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at her home.
      Born Aug. 8, 1940 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late Walter Overdorf and the former Lora Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Lehman.
     Jane earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Lock Haven State College, and a master's degree in specialized reading from Penn State University. She taught at the Salladasburg Elementary School for 28 years. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Jersey Shore, Amaranth, and Order of Eastern Star.
      She is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Hart, they were united in marriage on Feb. 20, 1959; three sons, Joseph J. (Victoria) Hart of Tombs Run, Jeffrey L. Hart of Jersey Shore and Jonathan L. Hart of Jersey Shore; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jemme, Angel, Jared, Hoyt, and Clayton; two great-grandchildren, Aynslee and Aria; brother, Harry (Mary Lynn) Overdorf of Jersey Shore and Joan Miller of Lock Haven.
     A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Kerry Aucker will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
