Janet Lee Cummings

     Janet Lee Cummings, 90, of Avis, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Nippenose Valley Village.

     Born July 27, 1935 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter to the late Jared Y. Dale and the former Grace Olive Barnard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Cummings Sr., they were united in marriage on September 26, 1952; 5 bothers; and 4 sisters.

     Janet was a member of Crossroads Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and her dog, Sadie. She cherished her husband and her family above all else.

     She is survived by three sons, Harry M. Cummings Jr., Steven W. (Terri) Cummings and Terry L. (Denise) Cummings, all of Jersey Shore; two daughters, Beverly K. (Guy) Confair, of Williamsport and Debra A. (Kevin) Gray, of Wilmington, NC; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Barzona, of Lock Haven.

     A visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m., at Crossroads Church, 1454 PA-44, Jersey Shore. She will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
