Janet E. Sheasley

    Janet Elizabeth Sheasley, 90, of Avis, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

    Janet was born on Nov. 10, 1933, to Walburn Laubach and Alverta (Best) Laubach, of Loganton. She worked in the office of Piper Aircraft early in her years and devoted the rest of her long life to caring for her family. Janet had a passion for sewing, gardening, and enjoyed crafting and crochet, which she proudly passed onto her daughters.

    She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert D. Shealsey; daughters, Debra Breon and Ann "Annie" Ward (special son-in-law, Charlie Ward), all of Jersey Shore; grandchildren, Ashley Lehman, of Avis, and Bradley Breon (Jamie Hostrander), of Rauchtown; great-grandchildren, Dawson and Marlee Lehman, of Avis; two brothers, Joel Laubach (Delores Gallo), of Avis and Steven (Dorothy) Laubach, of Loganton.

    Services and burial will be private in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Loganton. Pastor Brian Moyer will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.

    Arrangement are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
