Janice E. Shireman

     Janice E. Shireman, 74, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022 at Hillside Assisted Living.
     Born Nov. 24, 1947 in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter to the late Deasy C. May and the former Olive Stradley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Shireman.
     Janice graduated from the Williamsport School of Commerce and State Beauty School. For 39 years, she worked as the owner of her beauty shop. She volunteered for many years as the treasurer of Little League.
     She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, John F. Shireman; a brother, David May of Woolrich; mother-in-law, June Shireman, of Montoursville; and her dear aunt, Mary May of Tallahassee, Fla.
     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2022 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. As a request by the family, masks will be required.
She will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to a local SPCA, St. Agnes Church, or Jersey Shore Little League at PO Box 333, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
