Jerry Yost Obituary

     Jerry Lynn Yost, oldest son of Jerome D and Flora (Gray) Yost born May 9, 1949, passed away on August 19, 2025, at the Lock Haven Rehabilitation Center (formerly Susque View Nursing Home).

     Jerry married Judith A. DeLong (Orndorf) of Orviston/Monument, PA on March 24, 1984. He was proud to help raise her three sons, Trent T. Orndorf (Leigh Willmann) of Roswell, GA, Briton D Orndorf (Cheryl Harris) of Lock Haven, PA and Lance J. Orndorf (Kristin Bagosy) of Reading, PA. Jerry “Pap" was so proud of his eight grandchildren, Magen Chitwood (Tim Garmen) of Williamsport, PA, Thomas Chitwood (Jessica Green) of Lock Haven, PA, Nolan Orndorf (Shea Snow) of Lansing, MI, David Orndorf (Jennifer Connor) of Hummelstown, PA, Gareth Orndorf (Hope Witterling), Parker Orndorf (Rachel Glossner) of Fort Worth, TX, Colby Orndorf (Abby Miller) of Reading, PA and Molly Orndorf of Reading, PA. Two great grandsons, Timothy (TJ) Garman, III and William (Blake) Garman of Williamsport, PA.

     Jerry’s greatest love was the family he built with Judy. He loved to spend time with family and always had a smile on his face. In his younger years, he was very athletic and enjoyed water skiing, golfing, downhill skiing, and snowmobiling.

     He was a talented carpenter and worked for Lundy’s Construction, Williamsport, for 25 years. Prior to Lundy’s, Jerry worked for Woolrich, Inc for 18 years. Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division. He is a Lock Haven High School graduate of the class of 1967.

     Jerry is survived by a brother Kenneth (Denise) Yost and a sister Darla (Harry) Wolfe and numerous nieces and nephews as well beloved family member Jill Pollitt Orndorf of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his father Jerome and his mother, Flora.

     Per his request, no formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. I

     n lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clinton County SPCA or any animal rescue that you desire.

     Arrangements are entrusted to Frederic B Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore, PA.
