Joanne L. Dale

     Joanne L. Dale, 84, of Avis, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at ProMedica in Jersey Shore.

     Born November 15, 1938 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter to the late Harry Smith and the former Geneve Weaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Dale Sr., and a daughter, Karen Bower.

     Joanne was a member of the Avis Fire Company Auxiliary and retired from Shop Vac after many years of service. She was an avid Steelers and Penn State fan.

     She is survived by her daughters, Wendy L. (Kendall) Welshans of Avis and Cindy L. (Mike) Paulus of Niagara Falls, NY; sons, William L. (Missy) Dale Jr. of Fairwell, PA and Rick A. (Donna) Dale of Beech Creek; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

     A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 in the Hays-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery in Beech Creek.
