John P. Vlcek, 69, of Nippenose Valley, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at his home.
Born August 29, 1956 in Czechoslovakia, he was a son to the late John P. Vlcek and the former Helen O. Mihalovič.
He was a member of the Polish Club in Williamsport. He retired from Nussbaum Trucking after many years of service.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gambling, drinking Jack Daniel’s and watching NASCAR, but sleeping thru most of it. Most of all he loved his family and friends above all else.. his grandchildren and great grandson lit up his world. He would put everyone above himself, even strangers. John was a character and funny with absolutely no filter! He was loved by so many and will be forever missed.
John is survived by his loving wife, the former Jean Rzeplinski; two daughters, Victoria L. Vlcek and Free A. (Jesse) Tillison; sons, Adam Vlcek and Daniel Donella; brothers, Paul (Stacey) Vlcek and Joseph (Shellie) Vlcek: two nephews, Paul Vlcek Jr. and Matthew Vlcek; and a niece, Rachel Vlcek.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
