Josephine D. Arduini, 102, of Jersey Shore, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Born September 28, 1923 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late Antonio Arduini and the former Blanche Michele. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ann Rampulla, Mary Leta, Lucy Mondell, and John, Salvatore and Joseph Arduini; and a nephew, Greg Leta.
Josephine attended the Porter Township School and was a 1942 Jersey Shore High School graduate. She attended the Miss Wheaton School of Business. Earlier in her life, she worked at Sweet Steel for 15 years and later retired after 22 years from the Jersey Shore Steel Company.
Josephine was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and the Alter and Rosary Society. She was devoted to her church and church family, serving as the 1st woman Eucharistic Minister. Josephine was a charter member of the Divine Providence Ladies Auxillary, the Jersey Shore Historical Society, and the Jersey Shore Steel Bowling League.
She is survived by 14 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 2 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 118 Kendall Ave., Jersey Shore. She will be laid to rest in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
